Red Pickled Onions Ingredients
Onions - We used red onions for their fancy color and because we prefer the taste of it, but you could also give it a try with white onions.
Apple Cider Vinegar - For the distinctive sour taste of these pickled onions! You could swap it with white vinegar for instance, but it will taste slightly different. Moreover, apple cider vinegar bears many health benefits, from killing germs in the body to lowering blood pressure or easing acid reflux.
Brown Sugar - If you would like, you could definitely use white sugar instead, no problem. The sugar serves to balance the acidic, maybe slightly bitter or harsh taste of the vinegar. Add more sugar to have it sweeter, and less for a stronger vinegar-y taste.
