The beauty of making your own popsicles is that you can use pretty much any flavor you like. For this recipe we combined creamy peanut butter with vegan yogurt and cherries to give it a salty, slightly nutty and also sweet taste.
Pb + Cherry Froyo Popsicles Ingredients
Cherries - We used frozen cherries that we kept in our freezer from last summer. However, you can also use fresh cherries, just remember that you have to pit them first.
Non-Dairy Yogurt - We tried both plain and vanilla yogurt, both of which tasted great.
Peanut Butter - As usual, we recommend avoiding peanut butter that has added sugar or oil.
Pb + Cherry Froyo Popsicles Tips
Looks - To make the popsicles look even fancier, place additional half-cut cherries in the bottom of the molds, open side down, then pour the mixture over the cherries. When fully frozen you will see the halved cherries on the smooth side of the popsicle making it look very elegant.
Texture - If the popsicle is still a little too frozen to eat right away, just let it thaw for about 5-10 minutes.
Chocolate Lovers - For those who really, really like chocolate and think a popsicle isn't complete without chocolate, you can give any popsicle a chocolate coating.
Fruit - If you don't have cherries or prefer a different fruit for your popsicle, we highly recommend using sliced peaches, strawberries, blueberries, and basically any other berry of your choice, but feel free to experiment:))
